James Baldwin – I Am Not Your Negro

In attempt to adapt James Baldwin’s unfinished final novel, Remember This House, Haitian filmmaker Raoul Peck has created a fascinating, detailed look at one of the most progressive and lyrical minds of the last century. The film is a powerful documentary of the black American experience in the USA, in which Baldwin’s posthumous voice is served by Samuel L. Jackson. The film was initially released in 2016, but will see a wider release on February 3. Take a look at the first trailer for I Am Not Your Negro, a cinematic work on the subject of race and racism in America.
